About
The entirety of Jigsaw Domains is assembled by me: William Ellis. Know as:
Bill. Born, grew up, and studied in Edinburgh (Scotland, UK). In my late
twenties, moved to Bath (England, UK) for work. In my mid-thirties, found
love, married, and moved to Bristol (England, UK). Now, in my mid-forties, two
kids, my wife and me, all consider Bristol as Home.
Academically, I have a degree in Computer Science (BSc (Hons)), and a PhD in
the field of automated Formal Methods. Professionally, I work as a Software
Engineer (CEng). Pleasingly, Jigsaw Domains fits somewhere in the middle of my
Academic and Professional leanings.
Principles
Jigsaw Domains is about Domain Names. And Domain Names are about the world and
its people. Wanting to tread carefully, we define some guiding principles for
what we do:
- Kind: Act with kindness and respect. Prefer acts that
make people happy, over than acts that make people sad.
- Transparent: Act with transparency. Choose open and
honest, rather than closed and deceitful.
- Fun: Act for curiosity, or exploration, or challenge,
or learning, or wherever or whatever draws interest. Keep it fun.
- Fast: Act quickly. Favour acting now over acting
later. Sufficient is better than perfect, because sufficient arrives
first.
